NORTH CYPRUS WALKING ITINERARY

HOTEL 1: HOTEL SEMPATI

HOTEL 2: Karpaz Arch House

 

Day 1 

Arrival to North Cyprus Ercan airport and transfer to hotel, Food and Drink will be available on arrival.

 

Day 2 

Welcome meeting after breakfast, than we will drive to Ancient Olive Trees are in Kalkanli, Olive Trees ages around 800-900 years old they are located west of the island

It will take approximately 30 minutes to go there, we will walk around the olive trees around 2 -3 hours after we will drive to Maronite Village, Korucam, we will look around and  back to Hotel for Lunch, we will watch a Cypriot family who will cook Special Cyprus Bread “called Corek” olive bread and local dishes for us. After Lunch you can stay around the pool or sea, or visit Ancient Kyrenia harbor and Castle and enjoy your drink around.
Return to hotel afternoon.

Day 3

After breakfast we will drive to west of Island, Guzelyurt (old name Morphou)  We will visit St. Mamas Church and Archeology museum, than we will drive to Soli Mosaic City and Roman Theatre, After Lunch visit  Vouni excavations and back to Hotel afternoon

 

Cultural Highlights: St. Mamas Church, Archeological museum, Yesilirmak Village, Vouni palace excavations. Soloi, ancient Greek city, mosaic floor of the basilica with its wealth of birds, animals and geometric designs and a picture of a swan as well as the amphitheatre. Lunch in Gemikonagi, and Return afternoon to hotel

Day 4
 

It’s one of the important day, We will start early today, wake up around 06:00 am, after breakfast we will drive to unspoilt area of Cyprus, “Karpaz peninsular”

Once we arrived DipKarpaz village, we will stop for Coffee break before we start to walk than our bus will take us to walking point, we will start to walk from sea side North to South Karpaz. This walk will take us around 2 hour, after walk we will have B.B.Q at the beach. After Lunch we will drive to Magnificent “Golden Sand Beach” we will have free time for swimming and relax in a beautiful Med Sea. After our Swimming or relax Break we will drive to end of the island. Visiting “Apostol Andreas Monastery” ( From Outside) as its in Renovation) We will see Wild Karpaz Donkeys, and return to Traditional Guest House.
We are staying at Dipkarpaz tonight in a Traditional Guest House,
Dinner at Local restaurant next to the Guest house, and village breakfast next Day.

 

Cultural Highlights:
Dipkarpaz Village, Ancient Karpaz Church, and stone houses, Golden Sand Beach, Wild Donkeys, Village Center, Apostolos Andreas Monastery (renovation going on however we can see building from outside)

Day 5

 

We are still in Dipkarpaz, after village breakfast, we will go to Famagusta visiting; St.Barnabas Monastery, Salamis Ruins, followed by Lunch. (Fresh Fish)
After Lunch we will visit, Othello Castle, old City walls, and free time for shopping or relax
Return to Hotel Sempati afternoon.

Cultural Highlights: St Barnabas, Salamis’s excavation area, Famagusta cathedral, citadel, and city wall

Othello Castle, Old City.

 

Day 6

After breakfast we will drive to Kyrenia Five Finger Mountains, Walking around 2hours, after our bus will take us to Nicosia (Lefkosa) capital of North Cyprus. We will have lunch at local Cypriot Restaurant, and after we will visit Selimiye mosque, Great Inn (Buyuk Han) Covered bazar, Arabahmet area, Ledra Street, and Arasta, Free time for shopping and relax and return to hotel afternoon.

Cultural Highlights: Nicosia(Lefkosa) Five Finger Mountains, Covered Bazzar, Arabahmet Area, Ledra street, Buyuk Han, Selimiye Mosque, Arasta, Herberium, Five Finger Mountains.

 

Day 7: 

 

After Breakfast our bus will take us to Bellapais Village, visiting Bellapais Monastery and Lawrence Durrell House, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bitter_Lemons  Coffee break, than we will go to Kyrenia, we will be visiting Kyrenia Castle, Shipwreck Museum, and Free time for Shopping and Relax at the harbour.  Return to Hotel Afternoon

Day 8

Wake up, breakfast and Depart to airport, Have a nice Flight and hope to see you again.
